Andrew is the Managing Director of REEDS Hair.  He began his career as an Apprentice in 1982, training at the world-renowned Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, and going on to work with Trevor Sorbie and Toni & Guy.  Andrew has travelled the world extensively with his scissors and provided hair cutting education for Wella UK and L’Oreal Professional. 

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  My passion is short hair and creating ‘easy wearable styles,’ letting the hair fall into its natural shape. 

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  Variety & Creativity.

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Pessimistic, optimist, misunderstood. 

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I passed my Grade 8 with the Trumpet at age 12.

This is our Company Director Hayley who is also a Style Director and Colour Master. She started her hairdressing career in 1986 after working on Saturdays as an assistant in the salon.

Hayley is also responsible for the education of our Apprentices and guides them through their NVQ training, ensuring the very highest standards from the outset of their hairdressing career.

Hayley has a loyal clientele and is frequently complimented on her consultation skills and ability to listen and understand her client’s needs. Hayley is one of a handful of UK hairdressers who has a Matrix Colour Master’s degree.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I love the whole variety that each day brings to the salon!

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  The creative challenges that every day brings.

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Fun, Chatty & Blonde!

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I love musical theatre & travel.

Say howdy to our Salon Manager Carlene who is also a Style Director, Colour Expert and Extensions Specialist.  Carly is a very experienced hairdresser with more than 20 years’ knowledge in every aspect of hairdressing.

She thrives on competition work and loves creative work including re-styles and colour.  Indeed, Carlene is one of a handful of UK hairdressers who hold a Matrix Colour Master’s degree.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I love doing full transformations and being able to create and finish a look from start to finish. 

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  I love making somebody feel good and always get full job satisfaction!

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Fun flirty and mischievous.

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I love crime and murder documentaries.

Say hi to our Executive Stylist Peter who has not stopped learning, progressing and forever changing the craft he loves since beginning his hairdressing career in 1982.

Peter is extremely passionate about hair and loves ensuring the haircut really shows off his client’s features and personality. His attention to detail is the foundation to his creative and timeless work. 

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I specialise in creative cutting, developing that artistic individual approach to your look!  I also have numerous qualifications in hair and scalp analysis.

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  Each day you get to be creative and get involved with people’s lives, helping them to feel good about themselves and giving advice on how to look their best!

How would you describe yourself in three words? Fun, creative and free-thinking!

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I absolutely love outdoor adventure activities!

Say hello to Rachel who joined the REEDS Hair team in November 2022 as a Principal Stylist and Colour Specialist.  Rachel spent six years working for a leading London salon group before retraining with us.  She is passionate about education and learning and, of course, keeping up-to-date with the latest hair trends.  She recently completed the prestigious L’Oreal Colour Master Degree, making her one of the best in the UK when it comes to creating fabulous hair colours. 

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I love blonde balayage and glossy brunettes and making everyone’s hair super shiny & healthy.

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  Meeting a variety of clients, getting to know the clients, and delivering a beautiful transformation.

How would you describe yourself in three words? Kind, calm, positive.

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I really enjoy a cozy night in watching movies and eating a variety of snacks.

Meet Caron who started as an Apprentice at REEDS Hair in 2006 and is now a Principal Stylist, Senior Colour Technician and a BeautyWorks Extensions Specialist.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I love all aspects and that every day is different.

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  Giving people that confidence and boost when they leave the salon.

Say hello to Abby who is a Principal Stylist and Senior Colour Technician who trained at REEDS Hair and spent six years with us before moving to Norfolk in 2017.  We welcomed her back into the team in 2022. 

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  My favourite thing is doing a complete transformation, making someone look totally different.

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  I absolutely love making feel great about themselves.

How would you describe yourself in three words? Honest, friendly & fun.

Tell us something about you that would surprise others… My favourite animal is the rabbit and I have two beautiful house bunnies.

Meet Stylist and Colour Expert Shanan who has been a hairdresser since 2017, starting at REEDS as a Saturday assistant.  From an incredibly youthful age, hairdressing has been Shanan’s main passion. She loves being creative and has a natural aptitude for working with hair.

Shanan completed her hair training at Vidal Sassoon before moving to REEDS. She is a fully qualified Stylist and has completed her Colour Master’s degree with Matrix Professional.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?   I love balayage work and my favourite colours right now are coppers. 

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  I love making people feel good.

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Creative funny & organised.

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I could eat a roast dinner every day for the rest of my life!

Suzi started working in the salon on Saturdays at 14 years old and hasn’t looked back since!   She is now a Senior Hair Stylist, Senior Colour Technician and Extensions Specialist, having worked extensively with the Balmain and BeautyWorks extensions systems.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I enjoy the variation of being able to use all my skills in cutting, colouring and styling to create complete looks.

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I love football. (And I can count 1-10 in 5 languages)

 

Stylist and Colour Technician Kirsty is another of our home-grown talents, starting work at REEDS Hair on Saturdays when she was just 15. A year later she started her Apprenticeship, completing it in record time, and went on to complete her Level 2 and 3 NVQs in Hairdressing.

Kirsty’s love for people and her dedication to reaching her maximum potential is infectious.  Couple that with her ability to create wearable current styles and you can see why she has created a large and loyal clientele.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing?  I really enjoy cutting hair, but my favourite part of the job is doing hair ups for weddings and special occasions. 

What do you love about being a hairdresser?  I love being a hairdresser because it’s creative, sociable and every day is always different. 

How would you describe yourself in three words?  Creative, passionate, thoughtful.

Tell us something about you that would surprise others.  I love baking 

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing? My all time favourite service is definitely balayage, because there are so many techniques & the result isn’t always the same

What do you love about being a hairdresser? I love being able to see people’s mood change after having their hair done’. I also love making my clients laugh.

How would you describe yourself in three words? CHEEKY, SILLY & CREATIVE

Tell us something about you that would surprise others. I LOVE CROCHET ! Little animals & figures are my favourite to make.

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing? I love all aspects hair, but my favourite is having the freedom & being creative giving clients a fresh new look. Short edgy pixie hair hairstyles.

What do you love about being a hairdresser? I’m always pushing my creativity. I love gaining new trust, to turn their ideas into a finished style and leave feeling confident.

How would you describe yourself in three words? CREATIVE, STYLISH & FUN

Tell us something about you that would surprise others. I have cut quite a few celebrity…. However I don’t follow modern pop culture, so sometimes I have no idea who I am cutting !

Which styles or colours do you absolutely love doing? My favourite is a big bouncy blow dry to make my clients feel fabulous!

What do you love about being a hairdresser? I love the variety of clients that come to the Salon and how sociable it can be.
